Artworks heads to Madchester
Autotrader is a familiar name to British motorists, with millions using the magazine and website to find both new and used vehicles. The company handles huge volumes of queries from consumers, retailers and manufacturers every day, so were looking to develop a working environment that supported the fast-paced nature of their business, and we were happy to help!
Working together with fit-out company Claremont, we helped revamp Autotrader's Manchester Head Office on Tony Wilson place (of Factory Records fame), right in the heart of the city. The workplace has been designed to support each of Autotrader's departments,
and comprises unallocated workstations together with collaborative spaces.
We played a full part in this transformation, working closely with Claremont to meet the brief and maintaining the attention to detail which ensures a lasting design impact. We supplied a range of products, including digital wall covering, vinyl graphics, manifestation and digital signage, all fitted to Artworks's high standards.
The result is a workplace fit for Autotrader's status as a leading provider of automotive solutions, with free-standing pods, work booths and enclosed meeting rooms catering to every conceivable working need. The focus on industrial, quirky and playful details can be seen at every turn; there's even a full pipe skate ramp!
We're not saying that Tony Wilson would have loved it, but we hope that Autotrader staff will enjoy their new offices and find it a fun and positive place to work. As long as they don't think they're in 24 Hour Party People.
