The new state-of-the-art headquarters designed by AWW Architects for Imperial Tobacco Limited, Winterstoke Road, Bristol extends to 100,000sq ft. This is the largest owner-occupied property to be constructed in the city for more than six years, will house 550 head office staff and be the international headquarters of Imperial Tobacco.

AWW Interiors worked closely with the client on all aspects of the design from concept to completion including furniture selection, providing a fully fitted out ‘Cat B’ HQ befitting of a FTSE top 25 company. The future proof accommodation of the building comprises open plan office space, meeting rooms, tea points, a restaurant and gym and an enclosed courtyard garden. The concept for all areas was based on continents within which Imperial Tobacco’s international offices are located. Some of the more unusual spaces such as the tea points, meeting rooms and the café were city specific.

Artworks were specified by AWW Interiors and consulted with them throughout the design process. This included taking the interiors graphics concept and working it up into a fully coherent scheme. Artworks manufactured and installed routed feature walls within the meeting rooms, that were sprayed and LED back lit in accordance with AWW’s designs. The graphics continue throughout the open plan offices where AWW’s ideas were brought to fruition by Artworks in the form of fully designed cityscape inspired digital wall - coverings that blended seamlessly into the manifestation and internal signage.
