Forgive me designer…
You might not think that you'd need to go to the confessional for sins against typography, but our friends at Purpose Design feel strongly about fonts.
Purpose were looking for a fabricated confession box to showcase their typographic loves, hates and guilty pleasures for their event at Pick Me Up London, the UK’s original contemporary graphic arts festival.
The Purpose event, entitled; 'Sins-Seriff: Confessions of a Typographer', called for a realistic-looking confessional to add something more.
It was an unusual job, but the Artworks team came through with flying colours, developing a highly realistic confession box, although we can't say for sure how many people chose to unburden themselves of their creative transgressions.
What's not in doubt however is that the event itself was a huge success, with almost 2,000 visitors attending on the Bank Holiday Monday alone.
We know that Purpose Media will have made a big impression with their confessional, and engaged the audience with their ideas and opinions on typography and design.
