It’s the little details….
Bristol company Ovo energy recently moved into new offices on Temple Quay, marking another stage in their development. As a small, independent supplier in a market dominated by larger rivals, they know the value of the little details, so wanted their offices to reflect their ethos as a company.
That's where Artworks comes in. Together with two independent designers and fit-out company Morgan Lovell, we worked on their new offices, aiming to develop the kind of working environment that an ambitious, forward-thinking company like Ovo require.
The company takes its environmental responsibilities seriously and is always on the lookout for creative solutions, so they need office space that supports their staff, helping them draw inspiration from great industry figures and come up with fresh ideas.
The new office includes themed meeting rooms based around industry, energy and great inventors, including Brunel, Eddison and Tim Berners-Lee. Artworks supplied Wallpaper, a Magnetic drywipe feature wall, Manifestation, Lightboxes, wayfinding signage and Logo’s, supporting the company in its goal of establishing itself as a fair energy company.
It's not all deep thinking and furrowed brows at Ovo though, and any office has to have space for a bit of fun and relaxation. Their new meeting room in the Atrium boasts a Tree House complete with a slide, which we're sure will also offer some invaluable lessons in potential energy.
