Business Cyber Centre SWLEP, Chippenham
Located in Chippenham, the Business Cyber Centre, a project spearheaded by SWLEP, stands as a beacon for businesses of all sizes, fostering a vibrant community of tech-savvy enterprises. Once an unoccupied building it now pulsates with life across its three revitalised floors, providing a new home for startups and established organisations alike.
Sustainability
Embracing sustainability, the project prioritised environmental impact. Working hand in hand with Wylde IA, Artworks specified UK-manufactured fabrics for the ALTO Tex walls, reducing carbon footprint and mitigating potential pandemic-related shipping delays.
Alto acoustic walls
Within the offices, ALTO Tex fabric acoustic walls, featuring integrated drywipes, and suspended ALTO blades between lighting rings enhanced both acoustics and aesthetic appeal, enriching the sophisticated workspace.
At the start of the build, there were apprehensions about securing fixtures into the third-floor ceiling, given its composition. However, with both the client and designer adamant about adhering to the design concepts, Artworks rose to the challenge. We fabricated faux timber beams using lightweight ALTO material, complete with a printed timber effect. This solution not only seamlessly complemented the original design but also enhanced acoustic properties, striking a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality.
Delivered on time and within budget, Artworks’ scope of works was highly praised, marking the Cyber Centre as a testament to innovation and collaboration.
Despite the demanding timeframe and budget constraints, collaborating with Wylde IA and Artworks to bring this exceptional office space to fruition was a pleasure. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
