Turner & Townsend
Artworks were brought onto this project just as the client was starting onsite. With a tight timeframe to deliver we went straight to site with the interior designers Wylde IA and a set of plans. Walking the space quickly identified areas where we could incorporate the branding using our products and finishes across the interior.
Design inspiration
With budgets signed off, Artworks engaged the client and staff in initial design workshops to develop a suite of products using their feedback and mood boards. The large graphics took shape using close-ups of the architecture from projects T&T were involved with. This created visual interest and a conversation point for engaging with clients in the space. The ‘TT’ square design from their logo was the inspiration for the glazing manifest, which featured accents of colour to match other finishes. Drywipes and pinnable panels in meeting rooms and the open space had an accent of colour and design to pull everything together. ALTO ceiling acoustics proved a subtle way to break up the open plan space and identify working zones.
Making the difference
The most impressive piece we produced and installed is the large reception wall that greets you when you walk into the space. Combining back printed glass and the corporate logo, we created inset, floor-to-ceiling sections of luscious green, real moss wall. Artworks also added some graphic detail and a back-sprayed countertop to the new reception desk, providing design continuity. All this attention to detail is ‘making the difference’ (as per T&T’s tagline). It creates a workspace that is practical and creates a real identity, engaging the T&T staff and helping to create a happy & productive environment.
There is a lot of thought and work behind the scenes that goes into these projects to develop the branding and look and feel of the space. This project was no exception! Having in-house Graphic Designers to support the Interior Designers pays dividends. With our versatile production capabilities to back up these creative ideas, we have better control over producing and installing works on time and on budget.
