Artworks and interior designers Wylde IA met with the client and marketing team onsite, to discuss how we could implement their branding and core messages across the new office space. With a clear understanding of the brief and budgets signed off, Artworks surveyed the space. We worked closely with the interior designers to table some concepts that complimented both the brand and interior finishes palette. One of these concepts got the green light, and the designs evolved to work in harmony across the walls, glazing and acoustic finishes.
Pinnable world map
As you enter the space you are greeted with a timeline typographic that we designed, produced and installed that takes you along the 20m corridor. You are lead you to the reception area that features a large, ALTO, pinnable world map highlighting UK Broadband’s global areas of business. The meeting rooms were named after pioneers in the industry and paid homage to them through digital wallpaper graphics we both produced and fitted.
ALTO acoustic screens
The informal meeting spaces across the open plan were complimented by our ALTO screens and acoustic ceiling rafts. These added colour to the area and created privacy, whilst avoiding the need to put up walls. The works were installed over a week-long period by our multi-disciplined team and the feedback from the client and staff moving into their new space has been fantastic. It speaks volumes about the hard work of the teams involved in delivering this scheme.
It really does pay dividends engaging with the client and interior designers at the early stages of a project as we did at UK Broadband. It allows us the time to explore and develop ideas, working with our product range to give maximum impact within the agreed budget so that everyone is happy. We recently returned to UK Broadband to update their timeline as they are now part of the Three group, and we hope they continue to go from strength to strength. It’s nice to think we’ve been part of their journey.Dave Nowell, Director
